Caitie & Milo
Caitie met her new best friend, Milo, on July 24th, 2014. Milo is a very lucky dog. He had a great family in MO, but he would sometimes wander to a neighbor's yard and get in a little trouble. One day the neighbor came to the family's home where Milo was tied up and shot him in the face! They could not afford his veterinary care from this injury, so they surrendered him to animal control. He was treated and place up for adoption, but his time would be limited at this shelter. Fortunately, Taysia Blue Husky Rescue saw him when pulling another Husky and decided to pull him too. Since most people contacting a breed rescue are looking for purebreds, he sat and sat in foster care. One day, the rescue heard about HUH and called us to see if maybe we would evaluate him for our program. He was a perfect match for one of our recipients! The rest as they say, is history.
"Milo has been a game-changer for us. I actually sleep a little better at night, knowing he is by Caitie's side." - Sue, Caitie's mom
